What “Frontier” Means From My Seat

Bhaskar Basu
Chief Partner Officer, Microsoft India and South Asia

For me, Frontier represents the next horizon of how we shape value with and through our partners - moving beyond traditional co-sell motions to building AI-led, industry-shaping impact together. In my role leading Enterprise Partnerships for India and South Asia, I see Frontier as the shift from being early adopters of AI to becoming true transformation catalysts for our customers.

From my seat, being Frontier means working with partners who are willing to reimagine their business models, invest deeply in co-innovation, and bring differentiated AI solutions that materially improve customer outcomes. It’s about partnering with organizations that don’t just use AI, but operationalize it - embedding AI into their products, services, and decision-making to accelerate value creation.

Frontier partnerships are defined by three attributes that matter deeply in my work:

  • Ambition matched with accountability: Partners who lean in with a shared commitment to measurable business impact—whether that is reinventing industry workflows, unlocking new revenue pools, or accelerating customers’ time-to-value on Microsoft platforms.
  • Co-innovation as a discipline, not an event: Building AI-led solutions that don’t just automate processes, but reshape how industries operate—from HR, supply chain, and finance to retail, manufacturing, and public sector transformation.
  • A unified customer obsession: The best Frontier partners work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with us and with customers, aligning roadmaps, governance, and execution so that every deployment delivers tangible business outcomes.

As customers navigate Judson’s AI Transformation journey, what I ask of my counterparts in customer organizations is simple: approach the Frontier with openness, curiosity, and a willingness to rethink legacy assumptions. The organizations that will lead their industries are those that embrace AI not as a tool, but as a strategic capability that touches every workflow, every role, and every decision.

Frontier is ultimately a mindset - a commitment to move boldly, to experiment fast, and to co-create at the intersection of ambition, trust, and technology. From where I sit, it is the most exciting moment to redefine how Microsoft and our partners deliver transformation that truly matters.
